HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF WORCESTER COUNTY NEEDS OUR HELP!
Habitat For Humanity (HFH) local chapter here in Worcester County is in need. Under the leadership of a handful of local residents from Worcester County, they have begun to reorganize and rejuvenate this wonderful organization. Since 1994, HFH has provided homes for thirteen local families, all of whom partnered with Habitat and helped build their own home. And, they did it with an all volunteer organization.

Now in 2008, they need some "new blood." They need some fresh faces with new ideas and new energy. All of the positions listed below are volunteer and part-time. But, the rewards of helping neighbors helping neighbors are enormous. They need people to answer the call for volunteers and fill the following "job openings":

  1. A Corporate Secretary to keep the corporate records in order.
  2. Several volunteers to serve on the Finance Committee.
  3. Someone to help do a Newsletter and send it to supporters.
  4. A Recording Secretary.
  5. A Publicity Chairperson and helpers.
  6. Volunteers for the Family Selection Committee.
  7. A Volunteer Coordinator to organize the efforts of volunteer builders.
  8. Several folks to serve as The Fundraising Committee, hopefully including a person to organize "The Taste of O.C." again.
  9. A Covenant Church Coordinator to communicate with the faith community and coordinate their assistance when needed.
  10. Members to help the Building Committee get the next HFH house built.
  11. Members for the Site Selection Committee to help locate the next HFH homesites.

Reinstatement Fee of $75.00 Has Been Assessed
Any non-paid association dues are now past due and a $50.00 late fee was assessed on January 2. As of last Friday, members who have not paid also owe a $75.00 reinstatement fee. We would prefer that members call the office or renew online now to pay your dues so we can collect all the additional fees in order to reinstate your CAR membership.

Since your dues remain unpaid, we have suspended your membership privileges, including access to ARIS.

Due to security issues, the CAR office is no longer accepting cash payments. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We do accept Visa and MasterCard, as well as checks.
