2006 Awards of Excellence

Entry forms for the 2006 Awards of Excellence have been mailed to all brokers and office managers. Please note that the deadline for entries is Friday, January 19.  Entries received after that date will be ineligible. Please use the guidelines available online when applying for an award.

Awards of Excellence Breakfast
The annual Awards of Excellence Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, February 13, at 9 a.m. at the Stowaway Grand Hotel, 2100 Baltimore Avenue, Ocean City, MD.  Please be sure to return your reservation flyer or register online if you plan on attending. It is FREE for those receiving an award certificate, but you must pre-register!

2007 DUES PAYMENT DEADLINE: SUNDAY

On November 1, your 2007 CAR Annual Dues invoice was mailed to your preferred mailing address. The due date is Sunday, December 31, 2006.

If you have not received an invoice, please contact us at membershiprecords@gcaar.com. Please specify whether you would like your invoice faxed or e-mailed to you.

Payments may be mailed; paid at our office location by Friday, December 29, 2006; or paid online at www.coastalassociationofrealtors.com, where your invoice can be viewed, printed, and paid using our secure online payment system. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation of your payment if made online.

For general questions regarding the billing, please visit http://www.coastalassociationofrealtors.com/membership/billingfaqs.htm. Any additional questions or concerns may be sent via e-mail to membershiprecords@gcaar.com.

Confirmation of receipt of payment: If you wish to confirm receipt of your payment, please e-mail us at membershiprecords@gcaar.com. Please include method of payment and date submitted and we will respond within 48 hours. If this information is not provided, further research will be needed and the response could take up to 5 business days.


Community Service Update

  • It’s that time again! Time to send photos and info on what charitable deeds you or your offices have done over the past year. Not only will you be recognized in an issue of Currents, but this will help us collect details for next year’s MAR C.A.R.E. Award. Please send information to tltestani@mchsi.com.
  • The Ocean City Beach Blanket Blood Drive 2007 will take place January 31- February 1. Donors and volunteers are needed. To volunteer call Terry Testani at 443-523-2966.

Existing-Home Sales Forecasted to Recover in 2007
Sales of existing homes will level out in 2007, with totals comparable to 2006 levels, according to the new forecast released by NAR. New home sales will continue to slide into next year. “Most of the correction in home prices is behind us, but general gains in value next year will be modest by historical standards,” according to NAR Chief Economist David Lereah.
