The Coastal Association of REALTORS® reached its goal of raising $60,000 to sponsor a Habitat House in Wicomico County!
CAR's fund-raising campaign kicked off on St. Patrick's Day, 2005, with a breakfast at Dove Pointe. Construction now begins on the 2005 REALTOR® Habitat House at 701 East Church Street. The goal for completion of the 1.5 story 2-bedroom bungalow home is before Christmas Day, 2005.
The new home owner will be Lisa Fields, a single mother with one adult child no longer living at home. Lisa works at Credit Plus, and has been there for 4 years. Lisa has been dreaming about owning her own home for more than 20 years, ever since her only child, a son, was born. Lisa grew up in the East Church Street neighborhood so feels like she is "coming home."
