Members of this committee are appointed by the President and approved by the Board of Directors in conjunction with the Committee Chairperson, for staggered three-year terms. Members for consideration must attend the annual Professional Standards Training Seminar.
The Grievance Committee examines complaints of unethical conduct and requests for arbitration in order to determine if the complaint is proper, improper, or has sufficient substance or merit. If the committee feels more information is needed or desirable before making a determination, it is their duty to investigate and obtain additional information. When all information has been made known to the committee, the members will determine if a hearing is warranted, whether the complaint should be dismissed or referred back to the complainant to be resubmitted in a proper form.
The Committee will keep the membership informed and educated as appropriate.
