Community Service |
The Community Service Committee develops programs which will promote a positive image of REALTORS®; to the general public. This committee creates and involves members in meaningful public service programs such as Habitat for Humanity, Grant-A-Wish, Blood Drives, etc. The Committee is responsible for making policy recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning contributions.
The Committee will keep the membership informed and educated as appropriate.
Chairperson or vice-chairperson should attend all Board of Directors meetings.

Contracts |
The Contracts Committee is responsible for reviewing, researching and preparing all new and revised contracts and forms in concert with the Association's legal counsel, and submits to the Board of Directors for approval.
The Committee will keep the membership informed and educated as appropriate.

Cultural Diversity |
The Cultural Diversity Committee keeps abreast of changes in the Fair Housing Laws and HUD/NAR policies and informs the membership of any changes, and serves to assist members of the Association of their responsibilities in giving equal service to all clients. The Committee encourages the adoption and implementation of the Voluntary Affirmative Marketing Agreement (VAMA) with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Committee works closely with the Community Housing Resources Board (CHRB), whose function is to expand and improve opportunities for minorities in housing and in the real estate profession. Coordinate with Education Committee to provide educational programs. Chair is to be liaison to MAR Equal Opportunity Committee.

Housing Affordability |
The Housing Affordability Committee creates and preserves housing affordability and opportunity by working with a wide range of providers and government entities. Develops and recommends policies and programs to promote housing affordability across Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties.

Professional Standards |
The Professional Standards Committee serves on hearing panels as required to hear matters of alleged violations of the Code of Ethics of Association Members or to provide arbitration as requested and to assure due process in procedures of the Association. Note: Members on this committee must be REALTOR® members in good standing with at least three years experience in real estate, must attend the annual Professional Standards Training Seminar and must have two years prior experience on the Grievance Committee.
